For someone who loves loud, colourful and quirky fashion I seem to end up wearing a hell of a lot of black, especially in Winter. My indoor uniform in the chillier months consists solely of black leggings with sweatshirts and black socks. Or leggings under sweatpants if it’s really cold. All my workout gear is black or monochrome too, I mean that’s one way to avoid sweat stains, amirite?
Summer always starts late in the Cape, like middle of December kind of late. I’m very OK with this, the older I get the more I seem to prefer temperatures that sit firmly in the 20-25C range (still waiting on the day my knees can tell if it’s going to rain). It’s hard to dress for this transitional weather but I’m really loving the versatility of this t-shirt dress.
It’s from the store favoured by the international cheapskate, Primark, AKA the 1st place I head to spend my depressingly weak rands as soon as I touchdown in London. I didn’t choose the thrify life, the thrifty life chose me!
