Down at the Southern tip of Africa we’ve been having an extended Summer. Not the quaint kind, but more like the “ok knock it off now this isn’t funny anymore” kind. Exhibit A- the hottest month of the “summer season” appeared to be April, aka the 2nd month of Autumn. Exhibit B- We are now half way through May, technically supposed to be Winter and it was 30C degrees on Sunday, 28 on Monday. I’m probably going to go to the beach this weekend. Global Warming is real, fam (I wish I could show that to a certain foreign president, in addition to my middle finger). Autumn and the cool, mild weather it brings is usually my favourite season, I’m heading straight to a second round of Summer in the UK soon and Cape Town is suffering a severe drought & water shortage. All this is making me irritable AF every time I step out into another sweaty, baking day. But I may as well accept the fact that I’ll just have to continue donning skirts and dresses and carry on shaving my legs for the rest of 2017 and make the most of endless Summer fashion…
I’m not sure if my obsession with “Delicious Monsters” and other tropical plants began before or after it was a trend and that kinda stresses me out. All I know is that they have successfully colonized my flat and have now started in on my wardrobe!
Lawd why are my knees so red?!
